The Great Plains Diving Association seeks to promote and advance the sport of diving, and to provide quality extra-curricular activities for youngsters throughout the Midwest. GPDA believes that youth sports provide immense benefits and are helpful in developing successful individuals. GPDA trains divers with an emphasis upon fundamentals and sound, safe mechanics, insuring lasting success and continued improvement. GPDA utilizes advanced training techniques including three-meter springboard, platform diving, and dryland training to afford all athletes every opportunity in their efforts. Ultimately, GPDA seeks to provide an atmosphere where young athletes can develop their skills into champions in and out of the pool.
The Great Plains Diving Association is a competitive diving program supported by volunteers committed to:
Advancing the sport of diving
Providing divers with safe, quality diving instruction in an open, supportive environment
Recognizing the strengths and efforts of all of our members and volunteers
Encouraging positive mental attitudes and mutual respect
Teaching and developing life skills through our diving program
Providing divers the opportunities to grow and succeed to their highest level.
In addition to training high-level athletes, GPDA has collaborated with local and regional municipalities to provide beginner diving training.
GPDA seeks to train local diving instructors to expand the sport of diving in a safe and enjoyable manner.
